Our cause is something that I am extremely passionate about.
Every year we work tirelessly to put together a great charity event that will forever live on in the name of Patrick Carr and his legacy.
The Beach Hockey Classic founded by Danny and Shane Prince for Patrick Carr is near and dear to me. My son Jackson played hockey with Patrick and his younger brother Gavin Carr. While being in the hockey community with them it was amazing to see everyone rally behind the Carr family. The outpouring support of everyone was incredible. This all stemmed from the impact Patrick had on not only me, but the whole community.
I sit on the board for this event because Patrick made such a positive impact on my life and so many lives in this community. Patrick at a young age of 11, inspired me to never make excuses he made me stronger and more determined as an individual. Patrick never wanted pity. This young hockey player who was mature beyond his years was known for his words such as “How hard would you play today if you knew you couldn’t play tomorrow” and “I’m not sick, I have cancer”
Shane & Danny – Thank you for letting me be a part of this cause to carry our Patrick’s Legacy and donate 100% of the proceeds to Golisano Children’s Hospital.
